Does Satan Exist?

Video of the ABC Nightline debate on the existence of Satan. Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church and Annie Lobert of Hookers for Jesus vs. Deepak Chopra and Bishop Carlton Pearson.

It’s the followup to the infamous Kirk Cameron & Ray Comfort “crocoduckdebate on “Does God Exist?”

  • When an ostensibly serious news program runs an episode that could have been a B-plot on the Simpsons, something is very, very wrong.

I saw like 30 seconds of that show but didn't know what it was. All I saw was one of them, Chopra I guess, being an arrogrant twit and saying “Why do you say 'he'? My God is not a sexist, thank God.” That has to be one of the most moronic statements ever uttered. Someone calling God 'he' doesn't imply that God is sexist. I think most people realize that God doesn't literally have a sex, but its a tad irreverent to call the Supreme Being 'it' so they say 'he.' They don't say 'she' because then you'd have perverts jacking off to imagined images of God. Of course in our society, with all the fruits around that may be happening when God is called 'he' too, so perhaps we should call 'him' IT to avoid people having sexual fantasies about God. What do you think?

Oh, and if Satan didn't exist, how could ABC exist? Isn't he one of their executive producers?

Satan exists, and he’s coming back for the playoffs:

It’s only “unfortunate” in that a large number of people are biased against it. Thus your comment is comparable to saying “how unfortunate that some people are black.” You have to be careful to attribute the unfortune correctly.
