Honestly, I’m not all that fond of that The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trailer. It’s intense, but it tells you absolutely nothing about the movie if you don’t already know about the book.

@Matt, it’s technically a “teaser”, not a trailer. It’s just to make you sit up and take interest.

@Luke, directors don’t make movie trailers. They might have some input, but they are made either by the studio’s marketing team, or an indepentedly hired trailer making team.

That “Immigrant Song” cover by Trent Reznor is epic.

Zak is right- believe it or not- I am actually an educated filmaker!Although, in Lukes defense, I think its possible that Fincher had a say in the trailer since he’s, well, fincher- a legendary director if you ask me (plus, I think hes an atheist)

Anyone ever heard of Ed Feser? th ex atheist catholic that pretty much goes against most christians for not being thomists…

“…For one thing, most theistic personalists, though they depart in significant (and in my view disastrous) ways from classical theism…”

His words, not mine. Anyways, has anyone actually ever dealt with his “thomism” (thomas aquinas’ arguments). He claims that atheists have yet to combat them, as christians have yet to accept them. He also has a lot of acclaim by the looks of it.

So, any one know of any criticism of him/ thomasicm/ etc. I would like to see both sides of the issues of thomasism. I mean- according to him, even the legendary Plantinga is incorrect in not taking thomacism seriously.

I remember watching a debate with Hitchens in which his interlocutor responded to his arguments by saying that once again, the atheist focused what they had to say on the most extreme forms of Christian belief instead of discussing mainstream Christianity. The viewpoint that Hitchens had been attacking was the idea that Jesus Christ died to save us from our sins. I don’t suppose you remember which of the 500 debates in your list that might have been? Thanks!

And it’s obsolete already!

Polly Toynbee, head of British Humanist Association, agrees to debate WLC

Never heard of her.
