New Less Wrong post: Knowledge is Worth Paying For
Two of my older writings are now available for free:
From Twitter:
- We humans play better than any other species.
- Online streaming playlist of Piero Scaruffi’s ‘Best tracks of 2010‘, authorized by all record labels involved.
- What it feels like to fly over planet Earth.

Didn’t you also have a painless introduction on Atheism that was free?

In other news, there are two papers on formal epistemology I think deserve highlighting at the SEP:
http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/formal-belief/
Does a wonderful job surveying the various alternatives to plain-Baysianism, and to some extent argues for them.
http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/epistemic-utility/
Impressively argues for, essentially, Bayesian probabalism and inference.
I am afraid I didn’t have the time to properly read these (quite technical) papers, so these are just rough impressions. But they seem to me to be of excellent quality and have lots of interesting stuff to say. If anyone can present a “Painless” explanation of those (or works like them), now that would be interesting…

Hey Luke, since your blog is no longer about philosophy of religion, do you know of any other blogs/websites that you’d like to recommend? I can’t think of any that’s like yours.

I happened upon your website while looking for theism/atheism debates. Thanks for posting so many of them. I look forward to reading all the great stuff I see on your site.
