Kent Hovind’s PhD dissertation is a bit… unorthodox. Here’s the opening:
Hello, my name is Kent Hovind. I am a creation/science evangelist. I live in Pensacola, Florida. I have been a high school science teacher since 1976… God has given me the opportunity to preach and teach the wonderful story of His marvelous creation over 400 times each year…
It is my burning desire to help Christians get back to a simple faith in God’s Word. Satan’s method has always been to instill doubt in God’s Word…

Kent Hovind is peerless in his sowing of lies, disinformation, dishonesty and bullshit. He deserves to be in jail. rhys
Yeah, Kent Hovind is… special. lukeprog
In Hovind’s defense, he is hilarious. Him and Jack Chick (I have over 100 Chick Tracts) are my two favorite evangelists. Bill Maher
Very nice greatest albums list; I agree with most of it. Mingy Jongo
Oh my God. Chick Tracts. Those things are hilarious times 1000. lukeprog
The scary thing Luke is that he has sold between 750,000,000 – 1,000,000,000 worldwide in 100 languages (living in the South I have seen them in a good many places) making him both the most successful comic creator and evangelist of all time (Rick Warren and Stan Lee can eat their hearts out). There is a great documentary called “God’s Cartoonist” about Jack Chick and they even interview Hovind in the movie. I am surprised you have never made any posts about him.
Personally, I love Chick Tracts (and comic strips and books in general for that matter) and they are right next to Garfield Minus Garfield and Preacher for ones I enjoy the most. Bill Maher
“Hello” seems a good start to a dissertation. Briang
This is certainly newsworthy:

It’s an arab website that interviewed Richard Carrier. Ryan
BTW that graphic is pretty cool, looks like it could be a neat poster. Mingy Jongo
Well, there are millions of things I’d like to write about but haven’t gotten around to yet… lukeprog
One more thing: Hope I’m not being nit-picky, but the date you have for the Velvet Underground is wrong and the Pere Ubu album is titled “The Modern Dance”, not “Modern Dance” (for some reason Scaruffi leaves out the “the” also, which I never understood as it is quite clear on the cover). Mingy Jongo
Fixed, thanks! lukeprog
