So technically he isn’t an atheist (he believed in God), but it’s more of the spiritual/mystical variety – considering he met God during an acid trip, it’s hardly your standard belief system. He also despised religion & made fun of Christians constantly. Scott

I love, LOVE George Carlin, in my honest opinion he was the greatest comedian of all time.
He encountered some criticism later on in his life for being too cynical and vitriolic, but it was plain and honest, which is why I loved it so much.
