Free Stuff Fridays: Google Wave Invites

by Luke Muehlhauser on December 25, 2009 in Free Stuff

Today I start a new tradition: Free Stuff Fridays, an idea I stole from Tim Challies.

Once or twice a month, on a Friday, I will post a giveaway. You can enter the giveaway by typing your name and email address into the form at the bottom of each of these posts. I will choose a winner at random, and will contact them via their email address to get their shipping info and send them their prize!

Most of the prizes will be books about atheism or naturalism or morality. But today’s prize is different: Google Wave Invites! (And this time, there will be ten winners.)

What is Google Wave, you ask? It’s Google’s fancy new alternative to email. They asked, “If email was invented today instead of 40 years ago, what would it look like?” The result is Google Wave. See below:

For now, Google Wave is only available to those who score an invite.

So, to score a chance at getting a Google Wave invite, enter the giveaway below:

Sweet ! So where are you getting all the cash for this new venture?

Hey, suggestion:
Could you make “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” the default — for often I forget to scroll down to find that check box. Or put the box BEFORE the “Submit Comment” button. Lots of sites have it more obvious — plus, I ain’t too bright! :-)
It is fun to watch your site evolve — not only do with get great content, but inspiring creativity !
