Read Muslim apologetic responses to things like this. Then you realize truly that Christianity is the same shit in a different toilet. They both use similar tactics.

It’s so hard for Muslims to respond to one of their own criticizing them. Usually they can just scratch it up to white racism. This, though…it’s not so easy. Over time, there should be more Muslim insiders telling the story

On the community Think Atheist, there has been a recent influx of around 100 ex-Muslim atheists. They are very nice people with interesting stories. :)

Muslim apologists tend to play the ‘woe is me’ card quite a bit. They attribute most criticisms of Islam to a misunderstanding of it. That response is valid in some situations (like creationists who criticize evolution) but Muslims use it so much that it just loses all meaning.
