Ask the Atheist… Audio Edition!

by Luke Muehlhauser on February 24, 2010 in Ask the Atheist,News

Greetings, friends.

My regular Ask the Atheist column will continue to connect us. But I want to experiment with something else, too, and I hope you’ll join me.

I want my readers to leave me questions and discussion topics in my free jConnect voicemail box. I will record ‘bonus’ episodes of Conversations from the Pale Blue Dot in which I play back the audio of your questions and then discuss each issue, unscripted. I think it will add a touch of humanity to our community dialogue to get to know some of the voices ’round these parts.

So here are your instructions:

  1. Call 413-723-0175, then press 1 to leave a message.
  2. Introduce yourself (by name or nickname or just as “a reader”).
  3. Ask your question, or tell me what you’d like to know more about.
  4. Dial # if you want to play back your message before sending, or just hang up to send.

Do it now. Let your voice be heard. Let’s make this fun!

Does this give you the option to listen to your message and approve it or re-record like a cell phone voice message system would or do you only get one shot?

I wish the audio files showed up here with transcript – they might if you usedd Google voice…

Should I have trouble placing a call from outside the US?

Lee A.P.,

Yes. Dial # if you want to play back your message before sending, or just hang up to send.

Haukur,

No problem, just dial the country code first as you normally would.
