The point is that being a top atheist website is nothing like being a top Christian website. Christianity has far more people and far more money than nonbelief does. And that’s just one religion.

This is, as far as I know, the only page of its kind on the web. Nobody else has compiled an accurate list of the most popular Christian websites on the ‘net.

Which Christian sites did I miss? Which other Christian websites have an Alexa ranking below 100,000?

  1. Some Christian websites are not a root domain or root subdomain, and thus their traffic cannot be measured by Alexa. In such cases, proxy measures are used to estimate a website’s ranking. I have also not included blogs that only rarely post about Christianity, even if they are written by atheists. []

As a Catholic, I’m encouraged by the fact that the Vatican’s website beat a dating site.

Christianity has far more people and far more money than nonbelief does.

That’s just exactly what advertisers want to hear. And beyond that, Christians have a lengthy reputation for gullibility.

And that’s just one religion.

For some definition of “religion.” But there are thousands of sects of Christianity, and some Southern Baptists I know will be happy to tell you that Catholics and Mormons are not “true” Christians.

Just to restore your cynicism – There are several hardcore adult sites that rank in the top 100 on Alexa – among them, a couple “dating” sites that really arent so much about dates as anonymous hotel room hookups.

And getting in the top 100 is orders of magnitude more noteworthy than a site in ranked by 4 digits or more. So its a good bet those sites I speak of, are visited by more Christians, than is the vatican site.

:)

Sure it did. Now, do you want to know how it beat a dating site? :-)

BTW, I don’t see any Mormon sites in your list. Did you not consider Mormons to be Christians for purposes of assembling this list, or did no Mormon sites happen to make the top 45?

drj,

Yeah, but keep in mind Malware wont ever direct your browser to the Vatican.

I didn’t consider Mormons to be Christians for this list.

There is two things that don’t jive with these rankings.

Youtube and PZ’s ‘internet poll hoard’.

If Christianity is so popular on the internet, why do they get beat down in the rankings on Youtube so badly? If you want 5 stars, just talk about how idiotic believers are. If you want 1 star, try to defend the bible.

If you put up a poll asking ‘Is God real?’, PZ can send in his minions to sway the polls in minutes.

Why are those two examples so dominant in the Internet if it’s populated by mostly Christians?

Revyloution: If Christianity is so popular on the internet, why do they get beat down in the rankings on Youtube so badly?

Makes sense to me. YouTube is a secular site, and the crowd of god-botherers gets tired of having their logic criticised, so they stick to Christian-only sites instead.

Revyloution: If you put up a poll asking ‘Is God real?’, PZ can send in his minions to sway the polls in minutes.

PZed has a pretty good idea just how many minions he has. If you watch for a while, you might notice that he tends to pick on polls that are fairly small, say 10,000 responses or less. Part of his point is showing that internet polls are just about the farthest thing from scientific sampling.

Kinda surprised J. P. Holding’s “Tektonics” isn’t on there.

Nowadays instead of Facial Makeups we have scientific makeup, social, spiritual, mental, physical makeups etc. Yajman TV what is answer. Today all hearts know 1religion very well or well aware of that name- world is WHITEWASHED. Your sin will find you out –Bible. What is 1st std 1st lesson. GK. World of present day has to commend Mayawati Maam as Halloween for her herculean bold steps in eradicating BPL cards thereby causing division of people into rich & poor to cease like class system or caste systemlike thereby creating equality in all sections of society & harmonizing & bringing peace to globe contributions greatly. Her crusading skills are marvelous and amazing. This may result in end to infighting among God’s people of this country. All are now equal & honourable in the eyes of law, man & God & thereby Satan is weakened. Whoever creates casteism or classism or any other form of divisions are a lord or czar like. Already 2 divisions are there and i.e Good & Evil or Right & Wrong ones. Because of Mayawati Maam substandard treatment is not given to some who want to crave & slave or create a mental feeling of inferiorityness thereby making the lordly & aristocratic class in noble attire to rule easily & cunningly, slyly & craftily for eternity. But Mayawati Maam has successfully liberated them. All get the same food at the same prices & there is no partiality as like God’s principle of all are equal. One song for break : Taen, taen thaen unniye thedi alandhan… thenine.. yesuvin naamam divaya madhuram aaghum adh… I do believe that all medicines of a particular type do have side effects even though they are not outdated. Poli medicines is fake medicines seized by police recently & politicians debated it endlessly in Tamilnadu. Similarly all diseases be it a small or big one or fever leave some side effects or damage in the body like a scar or somewhat coz we can feel a change in our sensory organs & it is difficult to measure. That one Re rice scheme in Tamilnadu is uniform cost & phenomenal success. Manjah killi, manjah killi… nice song for break. Acts 3: 1-9, now peter & John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the9th hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple. Who seeing Peter & John about to go into temple , asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him with John, Peter said ‘Look at us’. So he gave them his attention expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, ‘Silver & Gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazerath, rise up & walk’. & he took him by the right hand & lifted him up, & immediately his feet & ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood & walked and entered the temple with them – walking, leaping & praising God. And all the people saw him walking & praising God. Similarly the Church I know is not the GOLD BANK of the world or the RICHEST or else I am Ever Ready & would have given all the gold & riches at the disposal to kill Drought of Madhya Pradesh & Prostitution across Globe. There is no black or white with God. When US economy was booming under a certain time there were Clean Tons of Money then. Big Booming. What is meaning of Clerical work.. not come from heaven. Christian world should take stiff & rigorous penal action against those who use condoms, cyanide or alcohol if any found guilty at any point of time be it in future if any found true & riches should be confiscated to spread the GOSPEL of Christ. Muthu kudu Kawadi hada is a nice secular song. So also that one kaisey naa milenge, manzil.. ki.

I’d like to know if you think maybe that today it truly is much harder to obtain a public proxy? I’ve never been an experienced in this area, but earlier ıt had been easier to find a working proxy. Now it is extremely difficult. I think this is because increasing the amount of people who deal having spam. Too lots of people are engaged throughout mindless spamming. Maybe you know some very good proxy service? I actually do not use some sort of proxy to cracking, or send spam email.
